{"id":1291,"date":"2019-10-09T07:12:52","date_gmt":"2019-10-09T05:12:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pagepro.co\/blog\/?p=1291"},"modified":"2026-10-02T12:38:52","modified_gmt":"2026-10-02T10:38:52","slug":"vs-code-tricks-how-to-work-faster","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/pagepro.co\/blog\/vs-code-tricks-how-to-work-faster\/","title":{"rendered":"VSCode Tricks &#8211; How To Work Faster"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/code.visualstudio.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\"><strong>VSCode<\/strong> <\/a>is a free and simple source code editor with powerful developer tooling, like IntelliSense code completion and debugging and learning a few tricks can tremendously improve your work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Let\u2019s have a look at a few of them that we can use to make our development faster and more pleasant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As I\u2019m working on Mac on a daily basis, I will use a <em>cmd<\/em>&nbsp; button, but most of the commands should work with <em>ctrl<\/em>&nbsp; at windows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"command-line\">Command line<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">VS Code has a powerful command line that allows you to do many things. The ones that got my attention the most are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Use commands from your extensions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Open preferences<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Change theme \ud83d\ude42<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To use the command line, simply press <em>cmd + shift + p<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"660\" height=\"208\" src=\"https:\/\/pagepro.co\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/command-line.gif\" alt=\"command line vscode command\" class=\"wp-image-1298\"\/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"must-know-shortcuts\">Must-know shortcuts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The most important thing that will help you work faster is to learn basic shortcuts.
