Last week React Native’s dev team introduced their newest release, React Native 0.75, which introduces a wide array of improvements to the framework:
- Support for percentage values in gaps and translation in Yoga 3.1
- Various bug fixes and enhancements for better architectural stability.
- Improved auto-linking speeds on Android and iOS.
- Touchables in TypeScript are no longer usable in generic expressions.
- This is the last version to support `minSdk 23` and `minIOSVersion 13.4`.
- JSIModule and PopUp Menu have been removed.
- Legacy APIs for iOS Push Notifications have been fully deprecated.
- The ram-bundle and profile-hermes commands have been removed.
As per their earlier recommendation, the React Native team encourages using frameworks like Expo for building React Native apps.
