Is Flutter Dying Dev Community Forks into Flock

The Flutter Foundation, a community-driven group uniting Flutter developers, recently introduced “Flock,” a community-led fork of the Flutter framework. They aim to speed up development and add features that the official dev team has deprioritized due to limited resources

In contrast to Flutter, Flock prioritizes more responsive reviews, contributor empowerment, and better multi-platform support, especially for desktop applications, while still remaining compatible with the main framework. 

The foundation has invited community members to participate as contributors or technical leads to support these goals and help in Flock’s development. 

This raises many questions within the mobile developer community, and the one that hits the hardest – and we hear most often – is: Is Flutter officially dying?
